The Perfect Girl's Weekend

Thursday 2 June 2016 • 4 comments

Since September, I've been meaning to go up to Manchester to visit my best friend, but we've never found the right timing. Luckily, the bank holiday weekend happened to be two days after I finished my last exam, so what better way to celebrate than a few days of brunch, baking and bestie?!

The first day I was there we were both so exhausted we were in our pyjamas by 2pm, but a weekend definitely needs some proper relaxation time.

Literally a dream afternoon of baking, tv, snuggles on the sofa and hot chocolates in bed watching Made in Chelsea. If you're having a girl's weekend, I definitely recommend at least one day of chilling and doing nothing apart from having a catch up and gossip about shitey tv.

The next day we went out for the most amazing brunch at a place in Manchester called Albert's Schloss

The decor inside is so, so beautiful. High, open ceilings, rose gold copper fittings, flowers on the walls and tables, and huge windows which were opened up since it was sunny. The waiters were lovely, and the service flawless too, would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We were so full afterwards we could hardly move, but totally worth it and no regrets. (Probably not gonna put that on MyFitnessPal though...)

We both went for the smashed avocado, poached eggs and feta on toast which was insaneeee. So much avocado, and the coriander in it was gorgeous. Major inspo for when I'm making a variation on home.

Then we had waffles, because doesn't everyone have dessert after brunch? Just us? Okay then....

SO MUCH YUM.

Probably my favourite thing about the restaurant is the free Photo Booth which we took full advantage of. (We went into it 11 times lol)

The photos just make me so happy, and are the perfect reminder of a perfect weekend.

Hope you all had as good a time as I did!

Love, Honor xxx
