After not posting anything food related for aaaaages I'm suddenly hitting you with two in a row.
But hey ho I don't care gimme all the food.
My photos album on my phone from the last few weeks is basically a 50-50 split of food/drink pictures and drunken selfies. And whilst the later might be more amusing for you to see, I think the former are more aesthetically pleasing.
Because lets be honest, I'm not going to be worrying about lighting or angles or making something look pretty when oooh free prosecco I need to put that on my snapchat story.
Anyhoo. Two of my best gal pals and I went out for brunch on Sunday morning after going out on Saturday night to Notting Hill Art's Club for a chat and cringe about the previous night's activities.
(We ended up in KFC at 2.30am and basically consumed whole meals. Since two of us are veggie our options were pretty limited and we ended up eating some really dodgy rice boxes. They're definitely not ending up on the blog.)
But back to The Breakfast Club.
We went to the one in Borough, but there are a few dotted around London. It's definitely a testament to how good it is that there was a 40 minute queue to get in, and how this completely normal for them. It was such a gorgeously sunny day that we didn't mind waiting at all and basked in the sun becoming bronzed godesses.
Or ya know, slightly off white with freckles. But that's semantics.)
The decor inside is super quirky and eclectic, with an American diner vibe. Everywhere you look there's random memorabilia, lighting, coffee cups, which gives the place such a cool vibe.
There's loads of little booths, and I felt a bit like I was in Grease or some cool 1950s American film.
It's not a sophisticated, elegant brunch spot, so if your insta is all white and full of avo on toast, you might be shocked by all the crazy colour and cheesy music which everyone sings along to. But ya know what, it was all the better for that. It was so much fun and just a really special experience.
Plus when your tea comes in a mug that looks like this who could complain?!
I completely loved the menu- there were so many options ranging from sweet to savoury, light to full on mahoosive towering plates of yumminess.
Two of us went for 'Reggie the Veggie', which was just a foodgasm on plate tbh.
Whole meal toast, tomato, mushroom (ew), baked beans, two poached eggs, a really weird but cool homemade sausage and my bae, fried potato with onion.
I can try and kid myself that it was sort of healthy because protein and kinda one of your 5 a day, but it tasted so good that I really didn't care about the calories. It wasn't one of those brunches where you feel like you could have done it yourself at all.
It was just delicious, and the atmosphere in the cafe was so much fun. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone, and tell them to brave the queues because it's worth it!
Where are your favourite spots for brunch? It's quickly became my favourite meal, and I want to try all the best places.

I've never been to a breakfast club because I'm too lazy to queue but the food always looks so good - that veggie meal sounds amazing!
